Leemtex India Pvt Ltd is tucked away in Parle East, right in the heart of the Doddanakundi Industrial Area, Phase I. It’s a busy part of town and the noise from the other factories nearby never really stops. We spend most of our time dealing with textiles and fabrics, so there is always a lot of lint in the air and the hum of the machinery in the background. The commute to Doddanakundi can be a real headache with the traffic, but once you’re inside the gates, it’s just about getting the work done. The office part is small, mostly just enough space for the computers and some samples hanging on the walls. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations because we’re more focused on what’s coming off the line. Phase I is a bit of a maze, and people sometimes get lost trying to find us. The walls here are painted a dull grey, and the windows are high up so you don’t see much of the outside world during the shift. We usually eat lunch together in the small break area, talking about anything except work for a few minutes. It is a straightforward operation. We make the goods, pack them up, and send them out. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady and we’ve been at this address for a good while now.
