Lecturer

My name is Meenakshi Vinit, and I’ve been working as a lecturer for quite some time now. People usually reach out to me through my old email addresses, which I’ve had for years. It’s a bit of a mix of Yahoocoin and Hotmail, which might sound a little outdated or messy these days, but it works for me and that's how people find me. I don’t really have a big physical office that people visit; I’m mostly found in the staff rooms of the institutions where I teach my classes. My work involves a lot of digital communication and keeping track of various student files on my computer. I spend most of my mornings preparing slides and my evenings answering queries from people who need help with their coursework. It’s a busy life, and sometimes it feels like I’m always staring at a screen for hours on end. I try to keep things simple and direct. I don’t go in for any of the high-tech stuff if I can avoid it. Just give me a clear syllabus and a group of students who are actually willing to listen. I’ve lived in several different places over the years, moving wherever the teaching work takes me. Right now, my identity as an educator is tied more to these contact details than a specific building. It’s a strange way to live, but in this modern world, it’s just how it goes sometimes. I keep my notes on my laptop and my books in boxes. As long as I can get my lectures done, I'm happy.
