The office is in the A-Wing, room 305, over at Jaiwant Shah Niwas. Being in Andheri West means we deal with a lot of noise from the Link Road, especially with the metro nearby and the constant flow of rickshaws. It is right opposite the IOC, so it is a good landmark for people trying to find us. Larsen And Toubro Ltd has a lot of offices, but this one in DN Nagar has its own feel. It’s a busy building. We spend a lot of time just coordinating things from these desks. The elevators can be a bit slow in the mornings when everyone is trying to get to their floor at once. We usually grab some snacks from the stalls downstairs during the afternoon lull. It’s not a quiet place, but Mumbai rarely is. Working here at Jaiwant Shah Niwas, you get used to the pace. We have been in this spot for quite some time now. The office layout is simple. We have our files and our computers and we just keep at it. Some days are more chaotic than others, especially when the monsoon hits and the road outside gets messy. But the team here is used to the grind. We don't have any big slogans on the walls or anything flashy. It's just a functional workspace for Larsen And Toubro Ltd employees who live around this side of the city. We do our bits and pieces of work and go home to start again tomorrow.
