We’ve been at Plot No. 14 in the F-II Block for quite a while now. Being here in MIDC Pimpri, you get used to the noise and the constant movement of trucks coming through the industrial zone. Lalit Nitro-Chem Pvt. Ltd. is basically a bunch of us working with chemicals every day. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, but it’s what we do. The office isn't anything fancy, just a place to keep the records straight and make sure orders go out on time. Most mornings start with checking the tanks and seeing what the production schedule looks like for the next few shifts. We deal with a lot of nitro-compounds, which means we have to be careful with the safety protocols, though sometimes the paperwork feels like it never ends. The guys on the floor know the machines better than anyone. It’s hot in the summer, especially with the equipment running, but we have a good rhythm going. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, just making sure the industrial supplies get where they need to go. Sometimes the traffic in Pimpri is a nightmare, especially near the main gates. We just focus on getting the drums filled and the labels on right. If you come by the plot, you'll probably see a few of us taking a tea break near the entrance before the next shipment arrives. It is a steady life here, and we know our neighbors well enough. We don't spend much time on decorations.
