Down here in Vengurla, things move at a different pace than the big cities. Our office is in the Khalachi area of Kerwadi, at SN 2/200 B 2. It’s a quiet part of Sindhudurg. The building isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a sturdy structure that handles the coastal weather. We get a lot of greenery around here, and the air feels a bit different than it does in Mumbai. The office interior is very basic. We have a few sturdy tables and chairs, and we keep the windows open mostly to let the breeze in, though it gets quite hot in the afternoons. Sometimes you can hear birds or the sound of someone’s scooter passing by on the road outside. We don’t have any corporate branding on the walls or sleek partitions. It’s just an open space where we sit and handle our daily tasks. The floor is easy to sweep, which is good because sand and dust are part of life here. When it rains, it really pours, and the sound on the roof can get pretty loud, making it hard to hear anything else. We usually bring our own tiffins for lunch and sit together to eat. It’s a simple setup in a beautiful part of Maharashtra. No one wears suits here; it’s just not that kind of place. It is honest and quiet and that suits us just fine.
