Our office for Kpmg is at 51A Juhu Sun N Sea, right on Juhu Tara Road in Santacruz West. Mumbai 49 is a hectic place to be, but being near the sea has its own feel. You can smell the salt in the air sometimes, even when we’re stuck inside dealing with paperwork. It’s not a huge space, just enough for us to manage things. Juhu Tara Road is always packed with cars and people, so it’s never quiet. We’ve gotten used to the constant hum of the city outside our windows. Inside, it's just us at our desks. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. Usually, one of us just looks up when the door opens. We handle the daily grind for Kpmg without making a big deal out of it. The office is a bit old, but it works for what we need. We have plenty of files and some computers that have been around for a few years. It’s a honest place. We aren't trying to be something we aren't. We just work here in Santacruz West and try to stay on top of everything. Lunch is usually something quick from a nearby shop. It's a busy life in Mumbai, and we're just one small part of it. We keep our heads down and get the tasks done one by one until the day ends and we lock up.
