If you’re ever walking around Girgaon, you might find us at Shop No 237 in the Naik Building. We are over near the Magarpatta area, though most folks just know us as the place that smells like fried snacks and spices. We make Kolhapuri Chiwda, and we’ve been doing it the same way for years. The shop isn't fancy at all. We have large containers filled with different mixes, and there's usually a bit of flour or spice dust on the counters. It’s a family-run operation where everyone chips in to help with the frying, mixing, and packing. We don't have a marketing team or a glossy catalog. People usually find out about us just by walking past and catching the scent of the spices. We spend our mornings getting the batches ready so they are fresh for the afternoon rush. It gets pretty hot in the back where the cooking happens, but we don't mind much. We just focus on making snacks that taste like they should. The Naik Building is an old place, and we’ve been part of it for a while now. We know our regulars by name and we know exactly what they want before they even ask. It’s a quiet, busy life, and we like the fact that our food ends up on people’s tea tables all over the neighborhood. We just keep doing what we know best.
