Kgm Graphics

Kgm Graphics is tucked away in the Sukh Sagar Cooperative Housing Society, over in Andheri East, but we are also near the Crawford Market area on AG Street. If you know Mumbai, you know how packed and lively these places are. Our unit is G 19 and it’s usually full of the smell of ink and the sound of machines running. We do a lot of graphic work, which means we spend our days looking at screens and then checking how things look once they are printed out. It’s a bit of a squeeze in the office sometimes because we have so much equipment and paper everywhere. The street outside is always moving, with vendors and people rushing past, which gives the place a lot of energy. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a while and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that, people just come to the door and we talk about what they need. It’s very much a hands-on kind of business. We might get some grease or ink on our hands, but that’s just part of the job. It’s not a corporate environment at all, just a group of us trying to get the designs right and the prints out on time. We take things as they come and try to keep the machines in good shape while we work.
