Kenia Eye Hospital

This Kenia Eye Hospital is the one on S. V. Road, right at the corner next to Milan Mall. It’s on the first floor of the building in Rizvi Nagar. Being so close to the Milan Subway means there is always something going on outside. The location is pretty convenient if you’re traveling through Santacruz West. We spend our days checking vision and helping people pick out frames. The office isn't anything fancy to look at. We have the usual linoleum floors and white walls that stay pretty clean. There’s a desk right at the front where the phone rings pretty much non-stop. Sometimes the air conditioning is a bit too cold, so we tell people to bring a sweater. We see a lot of familiar faces from the neighborhood. It’s the kind of place where you can just walk in and ask a question. We don't use a lot of big words or try to act like we’re in a movie. It’s just an eye hospital. The equipment is kept in the back rooms where it’s a bit darker. We try to get through the appointments as fast as we can so people aren't waiting too long, but sometimes things run behind. That’s just how it goes when you’re dealing with health stuff. We’re just here on the corner, doing our bit for the local community. It is a simple life for us.
