Kashimira Ceramics is tucked away in Vile Parle East on Bapu Pathe Marg. It’s an old neighborhood and we’ve been part of the landscape for quite a bit. Inside, it smells like damp clay and cardboard boxes most of the time. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small group of us who know our way around ceramic supplies. People stop by Bapu Pathe Marg when they are fixing up a bathroom or maybe just replacing a broken sink. We don't try to push the most expensive items on anyone. We usually just ask what they need and show them where it’s kept. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded with boxes, making it hard to walk through the aisles, but we know where everything is hidden. It’s a bit like a maze in here. We deal with a lot of regulars, people who have been coming to us for years. They know we’ll give them a fair answer if they ask how a certain tile will hold up. We don't have a big marketing budget or a social media team. We just open the doors in the morning, sweep the front, and start the day. It’s a quiet life, really. Vile Parle East is a good place to be, and we’re happy to stay right here where we are.
