Star Food

We are situated in Santacruz East, specifically in the Kalina area. Our work happens at Gala No. 2 in Shastri Nagar, Chunabhatti. It is quite close to Kalpana Cinema. Most people use the cinema as a landmark when they are trying to find our lane. Star Food isn't a big place. It is a simple gala where we do our daily tasks. The walls are painted a dull white and there are some storage racks along the sides. We have a large table in the middle where most of the work happens. The floor is easy to clean, which is good because things can get messy. Shastri Nagar is an old part of the neighborhood. The roads are a bit narrow and can get jammed up with cars and bikes. You can hear the sounds of the city all day long. There is a small window high up that lets in a bit of breeze. We have a calendar pinned to the wall to keep track of the weeks. It is not a place for customers to sit and relax. It is a working space. We arrive early when the air is still a bit fresh. Kalina is always busy, so there is a lot of movement outside our door. We keep the door half-shut sometimes to keep the noise out. We have been in this spot for a few years now. It is just a basic setup that suits what we do. Nothing more, nothing less.
