Kailash Marble Industries

Kailash Marble Industries is located at Mour Estate on the Shiva Vallabh Link Road. We are out in the Borivili East area, near Ashok Van. It’s a large space because marble takes up a lot of room. We have slabs of stone leaning against each other all over the yard. Most of the day is spent moving these heavy pieces with a crane or by hand if they are smaller. It is very physical work. There is always a layer of white dust over everything, including our clothes and the office furniture. We don't try to keep it too clean because it’s impossible. We’ve been at this location for many years. We see all kinds of people coming in to pick out stone for their floors or kitchens. We just show them what we have in stock. Some days the sun is really beating down on the yard and it makes the marble reflect the light so much it’s hard to see. We have a small shed where we keep the saws for cutting the stone to size. It gets very noisy when those are running. We don't have a fancy marketing team or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that we have been here a long time and people know our name. It’s a tough business but we are used to the hard work. Each piece of stone has its own look.
