Janta Foods

Janta Foods is over on Marol Maroshi Road 3 in the Lal Baug area. It’s a busy part of town. There is a lot of foot traffic and people are moving around all the time. We have been in this location for a good while now. The shop itself is pretty small and we have to be careful about how we use the space. We have bags of flour and containers of oil sitting in the corners because there isn't much storage. It’s a regular neighborhood spot where people know our faces. We don't have a marketing department or a fancy website. Most of what we do is just manual labor in the kitchen. We start early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. Marol Maroshi Road gets very loud once the sun comes up. We just keep the doors open and get to work. It’s a lot of chopping, mixing, and cooking over the stove. We don't wear uniforms, just our regular clothes that usually end up with a few stains by the end of the shift. Lal Baug is a nice area to be in because you get to know the neighbors. We see the same people every morning on their way to work. We aren't trying to be a big chain or anything. It’s just a local business that provides for us. We just do the best we can with the equipment we have. It’s a simple life and it keeps us busy every day of the week.
