Janaki A Savant

My name is Janaki A Savant and I work out of room 801 in Colaba, over on 5th Main. Being up on the eighth floor means I get a little bit of a break from the noise of the Colaba streets down below. It is still a busy area, but once you get inside the building, things quiet down a lot. I handle a variety of professional tasks and paperwork for people who live and work in this part of the city. The office is pretty simple, with a desk, a couple of chairs for visitors, and stacks of files that I try my best to keep organized. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so you might have to wait a minute or two, but it usually works fine. I’ve been in this space for a while now and I’ve grown fond of the view of the old buildings nearby. People usually come to see me because they have something specific they need help with, and we just sit down and get to it. There’s no big waiting room or fancy coffee machine here. I just offer a glass of water and we start working. It is a quiet, steady sort of job, and I like the routine of coming to 5th Main every morning. The light in the afternoon is quite nice when it hits the desk, even if the room is a bit small and the walls could use some paint.
