J K Interior

Our office for J K Interior is located in Andheri, at 1402. Being up high in an Andheri building means we get to see a lot of the city, but we are mostly focused on what’s inside. It’s a busy part of Mumbai, so getting here can be a bit of a struggle with the traffic and the crowds near the station. Inside 1402, it’s a bit of a different world. We have sketches pinned to the walls and samples of fabrics and tiles everywhere. It’s a compact space, so we have to stay organized, though it doesn't always stay that way during a busy week. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers or looking at computer screens. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. We are just people who like working on interiors. Sometimes we are out on sites most of the day, and the office stays quiet. Other times, it’s a hub of activity with people coming in to talk about their homes. We don't use a lot of big words or try to impress anyone with corporate talk. We just show the work we do and talk about it plainly. The elevators in this building are always slow, but that’s just life in Andheri. We keep things simple and just focus on the projects we have in front of us. It is usually a long day but the work gets done.
