Iris Design

Bindra Market is a pretty crowded place. We are tucked away in Flat Number 7 on the second floor of Pitru Chhaya. Being in Dadar West means there is always a lot of noise from the street below, but you get used to it after a while. Iris Design has been in this spot for a bit, and while the stairs up to the second floor can be a bit much on a hot day, it’s a good location for us. We spend most of our time at the desks working on different design bits. The market downstairs is great when you need a quick snack or if you just want to see some people moving about. The building is older, which gives it a bit of character, even if the walls could use a fresh coat of paint here and there. We don't have a big corporate lobby or anything like that. It’s just a flat that we’ve turned into our workspace. Sometimes the neighbors come by to chat, or we hear the sounds of the market starting up early in the morning. It’s a very Mumbai way of working, I think. Everything is a bit tight but we make it work. We have our computers and our sketches and a kettle that takes forever to boil. That’s pretty much the whole story of our office here in Dadar. We just keep our heads down and finish the projects we have on hand.
