Our office is situated in the Subhas Stores Complex, right in Goregaon East. It is in the Jyotsna Prakash Building, which is easy to find because it is directly opposite the HSBC Bank. We spend our days surrounded by files and stacks of paperwork related to home loans. It is a small office, mostly filled with desks and a few chairs for people to sit while they fill out forms. We are at number 3, so it is a quick walk once you enter the complex. The atmosphere is usually quiet, except for the sound of printers or the phone ringing. We are not a giant headquarters, just a local branch where people come to talk about their houses. Sometimes the coffee machine doesn't work right, and we have to go out to the street for a cup. We see a lot of nervous people coming in, hoping to get their paperwork approved. We just sit with them and go through the lines one by one. Goregaon East is a busy place, so we often watch the crowds outside the window during our lunch. It is a straightforward office job. We handle the documents, talk to the bank, and try to keep things moving. There isn't any fancy lobby or receptionist, just us at our desks doing the daily work. Sometimes the papers get a bit disorganized but we sort it out eventually. We stay until the last client is done for the day and the building closes.
