If you head into the Kajupada area of Borivali East, you’ll find us at Om Shiv Baba Nagar. Our spot at Hindustan Tiles Ltd is right in the middle of a busy neighborhood near Ganesh Chowk. It’s a bit of a squeeze getting the bigger delivery trucks down these lanes, but we’ve gotten pretty good at it over the years. We deal with all sorts of tiles, and the warehouse space is packed from floor to ceiling. It’s a lot of heavy lifting, and my back definitely feels it by the end of the day. We get a lot of locals stopping by who are fixing up their homes or doing some small renovations. It’s nice because you get to see the same faces. We aren't some fancy showroom with bright lights and air conditioning. It’s a practical space where you can see the actual stock. We spend a lot of time cleaning up broken pieces or reorganizing the crates so everything stays safe. Sometimes the monsoon makes the ground a bit slippery, so we have to be extra careful with the porcelain. We just try to be helpful and honest about what we have in stock. If we don't have it, we’ll tell you straight. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here, even if it's a limited company on paper. We just focus on the day’s orders and making sure the neighbors aren't too bothered by our noise.
