Healthcare At Home

Our office is tucked away on the ground floor of the Bhuvaneshwar Building, which is on N L Parelkar Marg. It’s right behind KEM Hospital, so if you know Parel Village, you know exactly where we are. This area is always buzzing with people and ambulances. Healthcare At Home is basically about sending help to where people actually live. We spend most of our time coordinating nurses and caretakers who go out into the city. The office itself at S/ 6 is where we handle the scheduling and take the phone calls. It’s often a bit noisy with the phones ringing and people coming in to pick up supplies or check their shifts. We know that being in a hospital isn't always where people want to be, so we try to make it possible for them to stay in their own beds. We deal with everything from basic nursing to helping people recover after they leave KEM. The streets around here are narrow and the traffic is usually a mess, but we manage to get our staff out to all parts of Mumbai. It’s a lot of logistics and making sure someone is always available when a family calls. We are just a group of people working out of a small Parel office trying to get medical care to folks at home. It’s busy work, but it feels right being so close to the big hospitals.
