Our company, Harpal Food Pvt Ltd, is located down in the Fomanwadi area of Dandapada, which is a bit of a tuck-away spot in Khar. We are right near the Hanuman Mandir, so that is usually the best way for people to find where we are. The area has that old Khar feel to it, with narrow lanes and a lot of activity going on all the time. Our building is not very big, but we have enough space for the food business we run. There is a lot of coming and going with supplies and staff throughout the day. You can hear the temple bells sometimes when things quiet down in the afternoon. We have been in this spot for a while and the locals know us as just another part of the neighborhood. It is not like those big industrial food plants you see in the movies; it is more of a hands-on operation here. We spend a lot of time checking on the inventory and making sure everything is moving the way it should. The weather in Khar can get really humid, especially being so close to the water, but we just get on with the work. We don't really have a big sign or a lobby, it’s mostly just the work floor and the office area where we keep the records. It is a practical place for a practical kind of food business.
