Haldyn Glass

Our location is right on the Marol Maroshi Road, which is a main road that stays busy pretty much all the time. Being in the glass business means we have to be careful about how we move things around, especially with all the trucks and cars zooming by outside. The building we’re in has a lot of open space because glass takes up a fair amount of room and you can't exactly stack it like boxes of clothes. There’s a specific kind of clinking sound that follows us throughout the day, whether we’re moving sheets or just organizing the inventory. It can get pretty warm in here, especially when the sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon, but we’ve got a couple of big fans that help. We see a lot of different people coming through, from workers picking up supplies to locals who just need a small piece replaced. The road outside is always under some kind of repair or just packed with traffic, which is just part of living in Marol. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t even notice the noise anymore. Our desks are usually covered in measurements and drawings on scraps of paper. It’s a busy environment, but we have our own way of getting things done without making a big fuss about it. We just focus on the glass and the day’s schedule. It isn't a glamorous job, but it is steady and it keeps us occupied from morning until we close up.
