Our place is right in the thick of it. The building is quite old and has that solid, heavy feel to it that you don't see much anymore. It’s a very busy street, with people constantly moving back and forth towards the hospitals or the train station. You can hear the city outside all day long. Inside, it’s a bit quieter, but there is always something going on. We have people who have worked here for years and years. It’s a big name but the daily life here is just about getting through the tasks. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. There’s a lot of walking involved because the place is spread out. The air in Parel always feels a bit heavy with the humidity and the traffic. We just sort of exist in this historic space. It’s not a shiny new office block in a business park. It’s just Haffkine on Acharya Donde Marg. Everyone in this part of Parel knows where it is. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing.
