H K Lamination

H K Lamination is tucked away in Room No-25 on Camagali, which is in Hansoti Lane in Ghatkopar West. We are quite close to the Santoshi Mata Temple. It’s a small room, but it’s enough for the lamination machines we run. The air always smells a bit like heated plastic when we are working. We spend our time putting a protective layer on posters, certificates, and photos. It’s a simple process, but you have to be careful or you get bubbles under the film. I’ve ruined a few things over the years, but I’ve learned how to be patient. We don't have any big signs or a fancy front. Most people just know we are here in this little room. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so we keep a small fan blowing right on us. We don't have a secretary or anything like that. When you come in, you’re talking to the person actually doing the work. Ghatkopar is a busy place, but our lane is a little quieter than the main roads nearby. We don't do any big advertising. Usually, people just find us through a friend or because they live nearby and needed a document protected. It’s a small life, but it keeps us going. We open the shutters every morning and see what the day brings. No big plans, just finishing one piece at a time until the sun goes down.
