Goyal Clinic

We are over in Chembur at Balaram Niwas, which is part of the Laxmi Co-operative society. The address is 21/1-A, and it’s a fairly quiet corner compared to the main roads. The clinic is small and simple. We have a basic setup with a waiting area that has some old magazines and wooden benches. The floors are tiled and we mop them twice a day to keep the dust down. It’s a neighborhood place, so we see a lot of the same faces coming in for their check-ups. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us managing the appointments and the patients. The room where the consultations happen has the usual equipment, a small sink, and a cupboard for supplies. It feels very much like a home that was turned into a workspace, which makes it feel less intimidating for people. We aren't trying to be a big hospital. We just provide a place for people in the local society to come when they aren't feeling well. The windows look out onto the trees in the compound. Sometimes it gets a bit warm in the afternoons, but the fans help. We keep our records in a metal filing cabinet that’s seen better days. It’s just a honest, local clinic serving the people around here for quite some time now. We prefer keeping things low-key and focusing on the people who walk through the door.
