Golecha Granites

If you know where Vakola Bridge is, then you’ve probably passed by us. We are right there on Nehru Road in Santacruz East. Golecha Granites isn't a huge place, just a decent-sized spot where we keep our stone. The traffic on Nehru Road is always a mess, so we spend a lot of time watching cars go by while we wait for deliveries to show up. It’s a busy part of the city. We’ve got different types of granite stacked up, and sometimes it’s a bit of a puzzle to get the piece someone wants from the bottom of the pile. The office is small and usually has a few people sitting around talking. We don't have a website or anything like that. Most people just drop in because they saw the sign while driving to the airport or the highway. It gets pretty loud with the planes overhead too. We just do our thing, selling slabs and making sure the measurements are mostly right. Mistakes happen sometimes, so we just fix them and move on. My uncle started this place and now I’m here most days. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. It’s just a granite shop in a crowded part of Mumbai. We know the local tea seller and the guys at the garage next door. It's a tight community here. We just work hard and hope for the best with each shipment.
