Godrej Industries - Foods Division

Our division is located over in Wadala East, specifically on L.M. Nadkami Marg. It’s a bit of an industrial area, so there are always trucks coming and going. The air smells a bit like whatever is being processed that day. We have a fairly large space here, mostly taken up by the equipment and storage for food items. It’s not a polished corporate office. Most of the floors are concrete, and we wear sturdy shoes because we are on our feet a lot. We spend the morning checking the temperatures and making sure the supplies are arriving on time. It gets pretty loud when the machinery is all running at once, so we have to shout a bit to be heard. We’ve got a small break room where we sit on plastic chairs to have our tea. The light in there flickers sometimes, but nobody really minds. We’ve been at this location for a long time, and the building shows its age in some spots. There is a lot of routine work involved, like checking labels and moving crates around. We don't have a lot of visitors, mostly just delivery drivers and people from other departments. It’s a busy place with a lot of movement. We don’t spend much time sitting down. It’s just about getting the food ready and out the door every single day without any major issues. The work is steady and that's exactly how we like it.
