Goblin Foods is located at No. 503 in the Embassy Center at Nariman Point. Being in such a famous building sounds fancy, but our office is actually quite practical. We spend a lot of our time discussing food products and looking at packaging designs. Nariman Point is always busy with people in suits, but we are a bit more relaxed in our office. We have shelves filled with food samples that we’re testing or checking. Sometimes the whole place smells like whatever we are working on that day. The commute to the office can be a bit of a struggle with the Mumbai traffic, but the view of the sea from the higher floors makes it okay. We are a small team, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything. One minute I’m on a call with a supplier, and the next I’m helping move boxes in the storage room. We don't have any big corporate mission statements on the walls. We just want to get the products right and make sure they get to where they need to go. We have a small pantry where we all sit and have lunch together. It’s a good way to catch up. The building elevators are always slow, so we’ve learned to be patient. We’ve been in this space for a while and it feels like home now, despite being in a big commercial hub. We just keep working away.
