You can find us at 702 Angrehouse, which is part of the MDL Officers Residential Complex in Mazagaon. Being near the Dockyard Road in Mumbai means we get a lot of that salt air and a lot of noise from the port area. Our work is all about procurement, which basically means we spend our days dealing with suppliers, checking prices, and making sure things get delivered where they need to go. It’s a lot of logistics and paperwork that most people would find boring. The office isn't very large, and it’s usually piled high with folders and catalogs from different vendors. We don't have a big, fancy lobby or any of those corporate perks. It’s just a functional space where we can sit down and get through our to-do lists. The humidity in Mumbai can be tough on the paperwork, so we try to keep things as organized as we can. We spend a lot of time on the phone, negotiating or just checking on shipments that are running late. It’s a practical job and we take a practical approach to it. We don't use any big words to describe our goals; we just want to make sure the buying process goes smoothly for everyone involved. The commute to Mazagaon can be a bit of a trek for some of us, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the city and the docks. It’s a gritty part of town, but it’s where the real work happens for us.
