Gemini Recycling Foundation

We operate out of Plot No.724/A and B in the TTC industrial area over in Rabale. It’s a busy spot with lots of trucks coming and going. Our focus is on recycling, which keeps us pretty dirty most of the time. There is always a pile of stuff waiting to be sorted out back. We’ve got a decent amount of space here, but it fills up fast. Working in Rabale means we deal with a lot of dust and noise from the neighbors. It’s an industrial life. We aren't doing anything fancy, just taking what people don't want and trying to find a use for it or processing it down. The guys on the floor work hard. It’s a lot of physical labor. Sometimes the machinery acts up, and we have to spend the afternoon fixing a belt or a motor. That’s just how it is with recycling equipment. We’ve been at this plot for a bit. Most people in the TTC zone know where we are. It’s not a showroom, it’s a working yard. We have piles of materials everywhere, sorted by type. It gets loud when the grinders are running. We just focus on getting through the daily load. It’s important work, even if it isn’t glamorous. We don’t have a big front office, just a small space to handle the logs. There is always more to sort.
