Our office is tucked away in Beturkar Pada, right behind the Bhagwan Provision Stores in Kalyan West. It’s a busy little area in the Thane district. If you are looking for us, the provision store is the best landmark to use because otherwise, the lanes can get a bit confusing. We’ve been here for a long time, working on various building projects around the town. The office is usually full of rolls of blueprints and samples of tiles or bricks that we’re considering for a job. It’s a bit of a dusty place because of all the construction material moving in and out, but we don’t mind it. We have a few plastic chairs for when people come to talk about their house plans. There is always a pot of tea going, and the ceiling fan hums quite loudly when it’s on the highest setting. We spend half our time here and the other half out at the actual sites, so the office is often empty for a few hours in the afternoon. It’s not a polished corporate space with glass partitions, just a simple room with some solid tables and a lot of work to do. We know the neighbors well and often chat with the shopkeepers nearby while we wait for deliveries. It’s a practical, hardworking atmosphere where we just focus on getting the walls up and the roofs on.
