Garlic Point

You can find Garlic Point over at F/18, Balwa Nagar, inside the Madina Manzil Compound on S. V. Road. It’s right there in Goregaon (West). As the name suggests, we deal with garlic. The smell is the first thing you notice when you walk in, but we don't mind it anymore. It’s just part of the job we do. We spend our days sorting, packing, and moving heavy bags around the floor. It’s physical work and it can be tiring, especially when a big shipment arrives and we have to get it all sorted before the day ends. The compound is always busy with other businesses, so there’s a lot of coming and going with trucks and vans all the time. Our unit isn't very big, but we make the most of the space we have to keep things organized. We aren't some big food corporation with lots of rules. We're just a small outfit making sure the local markets and kitchens get what they need for their cooking. Sometimes the garlic is better than other times, depending on where it came from and the season of the year. We do our best to pick through it and keep the good stuff. It’s a bit of a dusty environment, but that’s to be expected with this kind of work. We have a few guys who have been with us for years and know exactly what they're doing. We just keep to ourselves and focus on the daily tasks from morning until sunset.
