Ganesh Electricals

Our place is in Mahim, up on the 4th floor of the C Wing in Plot No 132. It is a bit of a climb if the elevator is acting up, which happens more than it should. Since we are on the 4th floor, we don't get much walk-in traffic from the street. Most people who come here already know what they are looking for or have called us first. We have a lot of stock kept in the back rooms, mostly industrial electrical components that aren't for your average home. The office part has a few desks and some very old filing cabinets that squeak when you open them. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers and checking on deliveries. You can see a bit of the neighborhood from the window, which is nice when you need a break from looking at invoices. The C Wing is usually quiet, though you can hear the neighbors in the next plot sometimes. We have a small kettle for making coffee and there is usually a packet of biscuits open on the table. It is more of a distribution spot than a retail store. We manage the inventory and make sure the orders get sent out to the different sites around Mumbai. It gets a bit dusty because of the construction nearby, but we try to wipe down the boxes once a week. It’s just us here, working through the lists and keeping things moving.
