G. M. Stones

Over at 127, Royal Shelters, you’ll find G. M. Stones. We’re located on the 2nd Main in Deverachikkenhalli, not too far from the IIM Post. The area is quite residential in parts, but we’ve got our yard where we keep the stone stock. It’s a dusty business, honestly. Whether it’s granite, marble, or just some local paving stones, there’s always a layer of fine powder on the boots by the end of the day. We spend a lot of time walking around the slabs, checking for cracks or looking at the patterns in the rock. It’s heavy work, and we rely on a couple of guys who really know how to lift and move things without breaking them. The office is just a small corner in the building where we keep the ledger and some samples for people to look at. We don’t have a fancy website or a glossy brochure; most people just hear about us from someone else in the neighborhood who was building a wall or fixing their kitchen. On rainy days, the yard gets a bit muddy, and we spend more time inside drinking coffee and waiting for the clouds to clear. It’s a slow, steady kind of life here. We just try to make sure that when someone needs a specific stone for their home, we can find it in the stacks. There is no magic to it, just handling the rock.
