We are tucked away in the Nand Bhuvan Industrial Estate in Andheri East. If you know the area, you know it can be a bit of a maze getting around. Our unit is A-21. It’s an industrial space, so it’s loud and there’s always something moving around. We work on conveyor systems. It’s mostly metal, rollers, and motors. It’s greasy work sometimes, and the floor is usually covered in some kind of dust or shavings. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. The team knows the machines inside out. We don't spend much time on fancy offices or desks. Most of the action happens right on the shop floor where the actual building gets done. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer, but we just keep going. People call us when they need to move things from one side of a factory to the other. We take the orders, look at the sketches, and then start cutting and welding. It's not a complicated life, but it’s ours. Andheri is a busy place to work, always trucks coming in and out of the estate. Sometimes the power goes out or a delivery gets stuck in traffic, but that’s just how it goes here. We aren't trying to be the biggest outfit in the city, just trying to get the conveyors built right so they don't break down the week after they’re installed. It is just us doing our jobs.
