Freelancer

I am based out of B 17 in the Voltas Chs, which is part of Shiv Srushti in Kurla East. Mumbai 400024 is the area code. It’s a pretty standard residential society, so it’s not like those glass buildings you see in the business districts. I’ve been operating as Freelancer from here because it’s convenient and I don't have to deal with a long commute every day. The society is usually full of kids playing or people chatting, which gives it a nice local feel. I keep my desk in the corner of the main room. It gets enough light during the day, which is nice. I don't really have a big staff or a receptionist. If the bell rings, it’s usually just me answering it. Kurla East is a good spot to be, even if the traffic nearby can be a bit much sometimes. I’ve lived around here long enough to know all the shortcuts. I mostly do my work on the computer and keep track of everything on a notepad I keep on the side. It’s a very practical way of doing things. I don’t see the point in having a big, expensive office when I can do everything right here from Shiv Srushti. It’s just me, my tools, and whatever project I’m currently stuck on. It works out well for everyone involved and keeps things simple. I try to stay organized, but sometimes the paperwork piles up.
