Free Lancing

Our place is up on the 12th floor of Iris, Unnati Gardens. It’s on Pokhran Road Number 1 in Thane. Being up high means we get a decent breeze, which is nice in the humid months. Free Lancing is what we call our little operation. It’s not a big company with hundreds of workers. It’s just a small group of us in this flat. We’ve been here long enough that the security guards know us by name. The office itself is just a regular room with enough space for our equipment. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website. Most people find out about us because they know someone we worked with before. We handle all sorts of odd jobs and projects that fall under the freelance umbrella. It’s pretty quiet during the day, which helps us stay focused. Sometimes the elevator takes forever, but that gives us a minute to chat. We aren't trying to be the biggest business in Thane. We just want to keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way. There’s a kitchen in the back where we make too much tea. It’s an honest, simple way to make a living. No corporate polish, just a few people and their computers. It suits our style and we don't feel the need to move anywhere else for now.
