Floor Tiles Manufacturing Co.

We are based in Mumbai, specifically over in Borivali West. Our office for Floor Tiles Manufacturing Co. is 303, A Wing, in the I.C. Residency building. It’s part of the I.C. Colony, which is a pretty well-known residential area. Being on the third floor, we get a bit of a breeze sometimes, but it’s still Mumbai, so the humidity is always there. The office is usually stacked with tile samples and catalogs. It can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of new designs coming in. Most of the work involves talking to customers and coordinating with the factory. We don’t actually bake the tiles right here in the colony; this is more of the administrative and sales side of things. Parking is always a struggle around I.C. Colony, as anyone who lives here will tell you. We usually spend our days on the phone or working through spreadsheets. It’s a family-run kind of atmosphere, so things are pretty relaxed but we stay busy. Sometimes we walk down the street for a quick vada pav or cutting chai when the afternoon slump hits. The building has been here for a while, and we’ve become a part of the local scenery. It’s a practical setup for us because it’s close to where many of our clients are located in the western suburbs. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily tile orders.
