Flamingo Food Products

We’ve been here in Vikhroli West for a long time now. The shop is at Tatya Gharpure Path 16-A. It’s not a fancy place, just where we make our snacks and food stuff every day. My father started this because he liked feeding people, and we just kept it going. Every morning starts around five when the first batch of flour comes in. It’s loud and usually pretty hot in the back. People from the neighborhood stop by on their way to work. We don't have a big sign or anything. Most folks know where we are because of the smell of the spices. Some days are busier than others, especially when the festivals are coming up. We try to keep the counters clean and the stock fresh. It's just a regular business. We aren't trying to change the world. We just want to make sure the packets are sealed right and everything tastes like it should. Sometimes the traffic on the path gets really bad and the delivery guys have a hard time, but that is just life in Mumbai. We see the same faces every week. It’s nice to know the names of the people buying from us. If you walk past the old building, you’ll see the door open. We don't spend money on ads or social media stuff. We just focus on the work right in front of us. That’s how Flamingo Food Products stays running after all these years.
