Our place, Fateh Granites & Marbles Pvt. Ltd., is located in the Green Field area, specifically at A2 33 along the JB Link Road in Andheri East. It is a busy spot, mostly because of all the traffic coming through this part of Mumbai. We have a lot of heavy stone slabs sitting around the yard. It can be a bit crowded when the delivery trucks try to back in from the main road. The dust from cutting the marble is something we just live with every day. We spend most of our time moving things around with the crane or talking to people who walk in looking for something for their floors. It is not a quiet office environment. You can hear the city noise constantly from the Link Road. We keep the gates open during the day so people can see what we have in stock. The weather gets pretty humid here, which makes the work even more tiring. We have been at this location for a while now. Most of the local contractors know where we are. We don't go in for big advertisements. We just show up, handle the stone, and go home. Sometimes the inventory changes fast, other times it sits for weeks. That is just the way the stone business works in Andheri. It is practical work for us. We just keep our heads down and get the slabs moved out.
