Fatang The Taste

Fatang The Taste is tucked away over at Rabari Colony 166 in Santacruz East. It is not the easiest place to find if you don't know the lanes around here. We started this small place because we wanted something to do in our own neighborhood. The name Fatang The Taste sounded good to us back then, so we just stuck with it. It’s a tiny shop, really. Most of the time, people just stand outside and eat or take their bags home. We don't have much room for sitting down inside. Being in Santacruz East means we know a lot of the families living around Rabari Colony. They send their kids over to pick up dinner quite often. We try to keep things moving fast, but sometimes the stove acts up or we run out of change in the till. It’s just a normal part of the day for us. We don't do any fancy marketing or use those delivery apps much. People just know where 166 is and they walk over when they are hungry. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint and the light flickers sometimes, but the kitchen is always busy. We are just regular people making food for other regular people. There is no big mystery to Fatang The Taste, just a lot of chopping and cooking every day. We hope to stay here for a long time.
