Excel Interior

Excel Interior is based in the Fort area, specifically in the Gufic Compound at 13 11. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy and cramped Fort can get. Our space in the compound is where we handle all our interior work. It’s definitely not a fancy studio. Most of the time, the floors are covered in wood shavings or scraps of material, and there’s always a tape measure lying around somewhere. We spend our days sketching out ideas or looking at samples of what might work for a project. The 13 11 address is a bit tucked away, so it stays a little quieter than the main streets, which is nice when we need to focus. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. It’s just us doing the work and making sure the measurements are right. The building is old and has that specific Fort character to it. We like being in the middle of the city because everything we need is just a short walk or drive away. Sometimes the monsoon makes things a bit damp in the compound, but we’ve learned to deal with it over the years. We just come in, have our tea, and get to work on whatever project is next. It’s a straightforward business and we don’t try to make it seem like more than it is.
