At Essar Engineering Centner, we tend to do things a bit differently than the newer shops. You might notice our contact info includes some old Yahoo and Rediffmail addresses like Such81081, which tells you we’ve been around since the early days when the internet first became a thing in India. We aren't the type to go out and get a fancy new website every single year. We prefer to stick with what works for us and keep our costs down. The office is a practical space where we handle engineering tasks. It’s not a shiny corporate environment at all. There are stacks of folders and old manuals everywhere you look. We spend most of our time dealing with technical drawings and figuring out how to make things work properly. The name Centner is a bit unique, and people sometimes ask us about the spelling, but it’s just the name we’ve used for a long time. We don't have a big staff, so everyone usually ends up doing a bit of everything, from answering emails to checking technical specs. It is a small operation, and we like it that way because it keeps things simple. We don't have meetings about corporate culture. We just meet to talk about the project at hand and how to get it finished. The office can get a bit cluttered, especially when we are in the middle of a big task, but we know where everything is.
