EMORY VENTURES PRIVATE LIMITED is up on the 17th floor of Avighna House. It is quite a tall building right on Dr Annie Besant Road. If you look out the window, you can see the mess of traffic down near Worli Naka, especially when it rains. It’s a busy part of the city, so getting here in the morning takes some patience. We have a small team here. We mostly just keep our heads down and work through our tasks. The office is okay, it has enough light and the AC works well enough for the Mumbai heat. We don't have any big posters or fancy decorations on the walls, just the stuff we need to do our jobs. Sometimes we stay a bit late and watch the lights come on across the city. There are a few decent places to eat nearby, so we usually just grab something quick and bring it back to our desks. The elevator ride takes a bit of time because there are so many floors, but it gives us a minute to check our phones. It feels like a normal workplace. We’ve got some files stacked up in the corner and a coffee machine that sometimes makes a weird noise. It’s just us doing what we do every day. Nothing fancy or corporate about the way we run things here. There is always someone typing or talking on the phone, keeping the place busy.
