Our place is tucked away at number 7 in the Nand Deep Industrial Estate on Kondivita Road. If you know Andheri East, you know how the traffic can get around J. B. Nagar, so we’ve learned to start our days early to beat the worst of it. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, just another unit in a busy row, but inside we’ve got everything we need to keep things moving. Edma Cut has been a part of this neighborhood for years. We deal with a lot of cutting work, obviously, and it gets pretty loud. The air smells like oil and burnt metal, which I guess is the smell of progress for us. We aren't big on titles or fancy roles here. Everyone chips in where they’re needed. If the guy on the floor needs a hand moving a heavy crate, the manager is probably going to be the one helping him. We have a small corner where we keep the records and take calls, but most of our time is spent out where the action is. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy with the next order to worry about that. It’s a gritty, fast-paced environment, but it feels like home to us. We just try to do right by the people who walk through our door. No big promises, just getting the jobs finished as they come in.
