You'll see us at Shop No 2 in Sane Bhavan. It’s right near Anjali Medical Store on Laxminarayan Mandir Marg. Sakinaka is a very crowded place, as anyone who lives in Mumbai knows. We handle both medical and dental stuff here. It’s a bit of a mix. You might see someone coming in for a toothache while someone else is here for a fever. Dr. Shu manages the workload with a couple of assistants. The space is quite compact. We have the dental chair in one section and the consultation desk in another. There’s a smell of clove and disinfectant that usually hangs in the air. We’ve got a small window that looks out onto the street, but it’s mostly blocked by the sign. The floor tiles are a bit worn from all the foot traffic over the years. We get a lot of workers from the nearby small factories and shops. They usually come in during their lunch break or right after they finish their shift. We try to be quick. There’s no fancy waiting lounge, just some plastic stools. It’s a practical place. We don’t put on any acts. If you need a filling or a check-up, we just get to it. Being near the Mandir means it gets extra busy during festival times. Sometimes the noise from the temple bells comes right into the clinic while we work, but nobody seems to mind it much.
