Dr Shah Eye & Laser Centre

Dr Shah Eye & Laser Centre is over in the Vadaval Section of Ambernath. We are tucked away in Flat 1 of Vardhaman Nagar. It is a bit of a residential area, so it feels a little more quiet than the main markets. The clinic is basically a converted flat, which gives it a more personal and less intimidating feel than a big hospital. We have all our eye testing equipment set up in different corners of the rooms. There’s usually a stack of files on the desk and some glasses frames on display. We’ve been seeing patients from the Vadavali Section for a long time now. Most days are spent doing vision tests and talking to people about their eye health. It’s not a very big space, so when more than five or six people are waiting, it starts to feel a bit full. We don't have a big staff, just a few people to handle the front desk and the machines. We open up the shutters in the morning and stay until the last patient is seen. It’s a very routine kind of life here. We don't use any complicated systems or have a bunch of rules. People come in, get their eyes looked at, and then go home. It’s just a plain, honest eye centre for the people living around Ambernath who need their vision checked.
