Dr. Agrawals The Heart Clinic

Located at 7 Aroto House on P K Road, our heart clinic is a small part of the Mulund West neighborhood. It's an older building, so it has that specific smell of old concrete and paper files. Getting here can be a bit of a struggle if you're coming during peak hours because P K Road is one of those streets that stays jammed with cars and rickshaws. We have a small reception area where the phone rings more often than it should. People come in for their ECGs or just to talk to the doctor about their blood pressure. It’s usually quiet inside, though, because we try to keep the stress levels down for the patients. Dr. Agrawal spends a lot of time looking at charts and talking to families. The furniture is a bit worn out, but it’s sturdy enough for the daily use it gets. We don't really do the whole modern aesthetic thing; it’s more about the medical equipment and making sure the patient files are in the right order. In the afternoons, the sun hits the front window pretty hard, so we keep the curtains drawn most of the time. It’s a straightforward place. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, with new shops opening and closing, but we’ve stayed right here in Aroto House. It's just a local clinic doing what it can for the people in Mulund. No frills, just heart checks and seeing people day by day.
