Doshi Associates

Our office is in Vile Parle West, right on VP Road. We are in Cello Plaza, room 102. One thing you notice quickly at Doshi Associates is the sound of the trains. We are right near the railway crossing, so the whistle of the local trains is basically the soundtrack to our workday. It’s a busy part of Mumbai, and there’s always a crowd outside near the tracks. The office itself is pretty functional. We have our files, our desks, and a lot of pens that always seem to go missing. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. The neighborhood knows us, and we know the neighborhood. It’s not a shiny, glass-fronted corporate office. It’s a place where we sit down and get through the paperwork. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty because of the road outside, but we just wipe the desks and keep going. The railway crossing gates being closed is just another part of our daily routine. We don't have any big marketing plans or anything. Most people find us because they live nearby or they’ve seen our name on the building while waiting for the train gates to open. We handle things as they come. There’s no pretense here. We just work, drink our tea, and talk about the local news. It’s a very typical Vile Parle setup, and that suits us just fine.
