Our office is tucked away in the Mahada Colony over in Andheri East. We’re in the Lombodar Apartments, up in Room 410. It’s not a big corporate building, just a regular place where we set up our desks and computers. The lift works most of the time but sometimes it's faster to take the stairs if you're in a hurry. Being in Mumbai, the traffic outside is always something else, but once you’re inside it’s quiet enough to focus. We’ve been operating from this spot for a few years. It’s mostly just a few of us here working on projects and answering calls. We have a small window that looks out over the colony. Sometimes we grab lunch from the stalls downstairs or just bring something from home. It's a tight squeeze with all the files and equipment we have piled up, but we make it work. Most of our day is spent at the desks, looking at plans or talking to clients on the phone. It's a simple setup. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby. If you come by, you just knock on the door of 410. It’s a bit of a maze to find the right wing sometimes, but once people know the way, they find us easily enough. We just focus on getting our tasks finished by the end of the day so we can head home before the trains get too crowded. It is a long day but we are used to it by now.
