Our workshop is over in Vidhyavihar West, specifically in Sakinaka at Room No 37, A Wing, Building N. It’s a bit of a maze to find us if you’re not from around here. We’re surrounded by other small workshops and the sound of sawing or hammering is pretty constant. Inside, we have samples of materials scattered all over the place. There’s sawdust in the corners even though we sweep every evening. It’s a small room, so we have to be organized with our tools. Usually, you’ll find us measuring something or looking at sketches pinned to the wall. We don't have a big showroom. If someone wants to see our work, they usually just look at what we are building right then. The light isn't great, so we have a couple of extra lamps to see the details clearly. We’ve been in this building for a few years now. The elevator is often broken, so we end up taking the stairs a lot. It keeps us moving, I guess. We take our tea in glass cups from the guy who walks around the building twice a day. There is no receptionist or fancy waiting area. Just a couple of stools and the smell of wood and glue. We stay late most nights to finish up the jobs people are waiting for. It’s just how we work. The landlord is okay, mostly leaves us alone as long as we pay on time.
